Tickets On Sale for SUITES BY SONDHEIM With Lea Salonga, TV Carpio & More at Lincoln Center
Philippine Development Foundation ("PhilDev") today announced that tickets for its upcoming star-studded benefit concert, "PhilDev Celebrates Broadway: Suites by Sondheim," set for Monday, November 7th, 2011 at 7:30PM at AlIce Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, can now be purchased at Lincoln Center's box office via online at www.lincolncenter.org or by calling 212-721-6500. Ticket prices are $100, $150, $250, and $500. As previously announced, directed by Victor Lirio with music direction by Tom Myron and featuring Filipino-American Broadway stars led by Tony Award winner Lea Salonga, the evening's concert will be devoted to the works of iconic American lyricist and composer, Stephen Sondheim. It will present musical numbers from Broadway shows such as Company, West Side Story, Saturday Night, Sweeney Todd, Anyone Can Whistle, A Little Night Music, Merrily We Roll Along, and Sunday in the Park with George.
Salonga commented: "Given the repertoire of material that Victor has assembled and the stars (yes, they are stars) he's been able to enlist for this very special concert, I think the audience can expect nothing less than excellence."
PhilDev also announces the addition of three Filipino-American theater stars joining the all-Sondheim concert: Filipino-Americal film and theater actor, T.V. Carpio, currently on Broadway in Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark; stage and television actor Angel Desai, who starred in the Tony Award winning revival of Sondheim's Company (opposite Tony nominee Raul Esparza); and Catherine Ricafort, currently on Broadway in Mamma Mia.
