Playwright Theresa Rebeck will be reading from and signing her new book Twelve Rooms with a View, about the New York City real estate market at Borders Columbus Circle in the Time Warner Center, Wednesday May 5th at 7 p.m.

TWELVE ROOMS WITH A VIEW (Shaye Areheart Books; May 4, 2010), and it's about three sisters and an inheritance story gone wrong in the hi-society world of Manhattan. It was an eccentric 88 year old woman, however, that inspired the novel. Aunt Sherry, as Theresa calls her, is a wildly adventurous and legendary New York eccentric who is still living in an 11 million dollar apartment that she purchased with her husband for 45 thousand dollars in the 1930s. Further, she has dedicated an entire bedroom of her 11 room Central Park West apartment to her hat collection. Aunt Sherry provided Theresa with a first-hand look into old society Manhattan living, and Twelve Rooms with a View does the same for its readers.
