Theatre World Media has announced the latest volume of the series, Theatre World, set for publication May 8. Theatre World Volume 67: 2010-2011 is not just a casual browse: it is the ultimate reference guide for complete, authoritative information for all venues from Broadway to regional theatre. The amount of comprehensive information found within its pages cannot be found in one location anywhere else in print or online.

Theatre World 67 provides an extensive list of contributors to Broadway, Off-Broadway, Off-Off-Broadway, and regional theatre productions of the year, and it is highly illustrated with over 800 photos in more than 1,000 entries. This year’s highlights include the multi-award-winning musical The Book of Mormon. The National Theatre production of War Horse transferred to a successful Broadway engagement at Lincoln Center Theater, featuring the stunning pup- petry of the Handspring Puppet Company. Larry Kramer’s hit Off-Broadway play from the 1980s, The Normal Heart, was revived on Broadway with a star-studded cast, while Cole Porter’s timeless classic Anything Goes had a glorious White Way revival at Roundabout Theatre Company’s new Stephen Sondheim Theatre. The Signature Theatre staged Tony Kushner’s Angels in America, while New York Theatre Workshop presented The Little Foxes, as well as Peter and the Starcatcher, a prequel to Peter Pan.

At 496 pages, Theatre World 67 is also more comprehensive than ever and features more photos than any recent volume. Each volume includes cast listings, producers, directors, authors, composers, opening and closing dates, song titles, plot synopses, obituaries, nominees and winners of major theatrical awards (including full coverage of the annual Theatre World Awards), the longest running shows On and Off-Broadway, and a complete index.

Ben Hodges is president of Theatre World Media and editor in chief of Theatre World, coeditor of The Commercial Theater Institute Guide to Producing Plays and Musicals, and editor of The American Theatre Wing Presents The Play That Changed My Life, Forbidden Acts, and Outplays. He lives in Jersey City, New Jersey.

The book is 496 pages with more than 800 color and black and white photos, at a price of $49.99. Hardcover ISBN: 978–1-55783-840-7. Theatre World, distributed by Hal Leonard Corporation.
