FAMILY SERIES (Performed in Rep)

The Wolf - Kennedy Theatre (March 9th- April 2nd)

This original show, written by Joe Calarco and Andre Catrini, turned the story of the Big Bad Wolf on its head and brings dance, theatre and imagination together for a unique twist. The show delights adults and children alike and may even teach a moral or two.

A Midsummer Night's Dream - Kennedy Theatre (March 9th - April 2nd)

Theatre Raleigh is dreaming up a brand new take on Shakespeare! The debut of this comedy classic will be reimagined as only Theatre Raleigh can. The show promises to showcase everything that Theatre Raleigh is known for- a surprising and energetic theatrical experience! 45 minutes in length and fun for all ages.

SUMMER SERIES

Smokey Joe's Cafe - Kennedy Theatre (May 31st - June 11th)

The soundtrack of the 50's and 60's comes to life in this musical revue showcasing the music of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. Including Stand By Me, On Broadway, Jailhouse Rock, Yakety Yak, and There Goes My Baby!

Struck - Kennedy Theatre (June 21st - July 2nd)

After being struck by a bicycle while crossing an East Village intersection, Vera Resnick feels a strange and out-of-character connection to the college-aged kid responsible for the collision. Is this mysterious connection real? Is it coincidence that brought Vera and the biker together? Or, are larger forces at play? In this surprising and soulful Manhattan serio-comedy, Vera, her husband, and their hippy-chic Texan neighbor seek truth in the face of deception, exploring matters of fate, family, and self-identity that affect all of their lives.

Lombardi - Kennedy Theatre (July 19th - 30th)

Sports produces great human drama and there is no greater sports icon to bring to theatrical life than Hall of Fame football coach Vince Lombardi, unquestionably one of the most inspirational and quotable personalities of all time. Though football's Super Bowl trophy is named for him, few know the real story of Lombardi the man-his inspirations, his passions and ability to drive people to achieve what they never thought possible.

The Secret Garden - Fletcher Opera Theater (August 15th - 20th)

This enchanting classic of children's literature is reimagined in brilliant musical style by composer Lucy Simon and Marsha Norman, the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright of 'Night Mother.' Orphaned in India, 11 year-old Mary Lennox returns to Yorkshire to live with her embittered, reclusive uncle Archibald and his invalid son Colin. The estate's many wonders include a magic garden which beckons the children with haunting melodies and the "Dreamers", spirits from Mary's past who guide her through her new life, dramatizing The Secret Garden's compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal.

Rock Of Ages - Koka Booth Amphitheater (September 7th - 10th)

It's the tail end of the big, bad 1980s in Hollywood, and the party has been raging hard. Aqua Net, Lycra, lace and liquor flow freely at one of the Sunset Strips last legendary venues, a place where sex machine Stacee Jaxx takes the stage and scantily clad groupies line up to turn their fantasies into reality. Amidst the madness, aspiring rock star (and resident toilet cleaner) Drew longs to take the stage as the next big thing (and longs for small-town girl Sherri, fresh off the bus from Kansas with stars in her eyes). But the rock and roll fairy-tale is about to end when German developers sweep into town with plans to turn the fabled Strip into just another capitalist strip mall. Can Drew, Sherri, and the gang save the strip-and themselves-before it's too late? Only the music of hit bands Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake and more hold the answer.
