Target Expands Beauty Concierge Program in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia and Baltimore Area

Building off its "Expect More. Pay Less." brand promise, Target announced that it will introduce its Beauty Concierge program to 27 existing stores in Washington DC, Northern Virginia and Baltimore on June 28, 2013.


Participating stores will be staffed with a Target Beauty Concierge, a highly-trained, brand agnostic beauty enthusiast who is available to answer guests' questions in-store. Serving as a trusted expert, the Beauty Concierge provides guests with personalized, detailed and unbiased information about beauty and personal care products offered at Target and acts as a knowledgeable source of advice in what can sometimes be an intimidating department. Beauty Concierges will be located in the beauty aisle at Target wearing a distinct black apron. No appointment is necessary.

"In an often crowded and sometimes daunting marketplace, Target's Beauty Concierge program ensures that guests receive the friendly, personalized assistance and counsel they need, while purchasing their favorite beauty products at affordable prices."

Target makes specialty beauty accessible and affordable through its broad array of brand collections. Guests can find cosmetics, hair care and skin care from exclusive brands such as Sonia Kashuk and Petra Strand, natural brands like Burt's Bees and national brand favorites.

In addition, the program will launch in 96 stores in Los Angeles/Orange County, 36 stores in Minneapolis and expand to 41 stores in Chicago, with approximately 190 stores implementing the program in 2013.
