TRUE FICTION Set for Melbourne Fringe Festival

Melbourne's best comedic minds join forces to present True Fiction - Australia's first live documentary show. Presented by bold new performance troupe, Blank Canvas Theatre, each performance the cast create a new live documentary to explore the captivating journey of an everyday hero. Sounds grand? You bet.

True Fiction features the award-winning talent of some of Melbourne's best performers, including Candice D'Arcy, Jason Geary, Amanda Buckley, Liam Ryan, Rik Brown, Karl McConnell, Amy Moule, Emmet Nichols, Michelle Nussey, Sarah Kinsella, Lliam Amor, Mark Gambino and George Gaylor.

True Fiction is staged at The Improv Conspiracy Theatre at 7.45pm on 26, 27 (6.45pm), 29 & 30 Sept and 1, 2 & 3 Oct. Tickets are $20 Full and $15 Concession.

True Fiction lifts the veil on the everyday. The souls who touched many, but were then forgotten. Heroes fallen from grace. The underdog who lost their car in Chadstone car park. Stories that defined an era, a people, a planet. All made up.

Blank Canvas Theatre is: Blue Room (Perth) alumni, Josh Dore; Impro Melbourne senior ensemble member, Amy Moule; The Big HOO-HAA! Melbourne senior ensemble member, Mark Gambino; and ImproGuise Cape Town senior ensemble member and South African ex-pat, Candice D'Arcy.

The tales will be tall; the lights will be bright. Comedy and tragedy will become one and plots will thicken as the performers weave their story.
