BROADWAY BARES XXII: HAPPY ENDINGS, a fairytale evening of modern-day burlesque featuring 227 of New York’s sexiest dancers, made history for the third year in a row Sunday by raising a record-breaking $1,254,176 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. BROADWAY BARES XXII: HAPPY ENDINGS transformed our favorite fairytales into crazy-hot, spectacular come-to-life stories as told by a bevy of Broadway’s best performers. The Public Theater presented Kevin Kline as Romeo and Meryl Streep as Juliet in a one-night-only benefit reading of ROMEO AND JULIET on the 50th Anniversary of the opening of the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. The Carlyle Hotel welcomed 2012 Tony Award-nominee Laura Osnes in her cabaret debut at the Café Carlyle in an exclusive two-week engagement on June 19. Osnes will play through Saturday, June 30. In her show, Osnes presents an evening of songs culled from Broadway and the Great American Songbook, as well as from the worlds of jazz and folk. She will be joined by special guests during the engagement and will be accompanied by a quartet led by her Musical Director Fred Lassen on piano. For more photos from her concert, click here.

Transport Group, the Drama Desk and OBIE award-winning theatre company, presented its one-night-only, all-star concert of the acclaimed 1983 Broadway musical Baby at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, on June 18. Cast members included Jill Abramovitz, Robert Creighton, Malcolm Gets, Nikka Graff Lanzarone, Kecia Lewis-Evans, Jessica Phillips, Kate Shindle, Betsy Wolfe and many more. York Theatre Company presents the first New York City revival of the classic Off-Broadway hit Closer Than Ever with Lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr.and Music by David Shire. It's set for a limited run through July 14, 2012 at The York Theatre at Saint Peter’s. Under the direction of Mr. Maltby, and with music direction by Andrew Gerle, the cast features Broadway veterans Jenn Colella, George Dvorsky, 2011 Tony nominee Christiane Noll and Sal Viviano. Masterworks Broadway will release the complete New Broadway Cast Recording of Evita, the first complete English language stage recording of the show since the original 1979 Broadway cast album. The two-CD set, produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Nigel Wright, with Tim Rice as Executive Producer, is set for release June 26, 2012. On June 20, Roundabout Theatre's production of Anything Goes celebrated its 500th Broadway performance. This acclaimed production marks the second longest Broadway run in Roundabout’s history, following its beloved revival of Cabaret. As previously announced, the show, which won the 2011 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, will shutter on August 5, 2012. Click here for more on the celebration!

Last night, The Public Theater opened AS YOU LIKE IT, the first show of The Public’s 50th Anniversary season at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park--home of free Shakespeare in the Park.
