This fall's revival of the Pulitzer Prize-winning YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman recently welcomed two new cast members to the Longacre Theatre. Emmy Award nominee Anna Chlumsky joined the cast as Alice Sycamore and made her Broadway debut. Emmy Award Winner Richard Thomas took over the role of Paul Sycamore, Alice's father. Earlier this week, new cast members were welcomed to Terrence McNally's IT'S ONLY A PLAY, which has taken Broadway by storm this season. New cast members include Maulik Pancholy in his Broadway debut, Tony Winner Katie Finneran, and Martin Short. The three actors serve as replacements for Rupert Grint, Megan Mullally, and Nathan Lane, respectively. The play is transferring to the Beranard B. Jacobs Theatre later this month. The opening show of Lyrics & Lyricists season featured a wide array of talent from the Broadway community in "A Good Thing Goin: The Stephen Sondheim and Harold Prince Collaboration." Cast members include Kate Baldwin, Heidi Blickenstaff, Jeremy Jordan, Jason Danieley, Liz Callaway, and James Clow. The show explored musicals from the two collaborators during the years 1970-1981. This time period included musicals such as Company, Follies, A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd, and more. Check out more coverage from the special concert here!

Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal and Olivier Winner Ruth Wilson each made their Broadway debuts this Tuesday, January 13th at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in Nick Payne's new play CONSTELLATIONS. The two actors will star in the play throughout its thirteen-week limited engagement. In addition, both actors were nominated for Golden Globes last Sunday, with Wilson winning for "The Affair." Broadway veteran Cheyenne Jackson recently made his debut at Café Carlyle with his show EYES WIDE OPEN. The versatile actor, whose credits include NBC's 30 Rock, Xanadu, All Shook Up, and Fox's Glee, is taking a personal reflection through a new set of songs. His two-week engagement began on January 13th and will continue through January 24th. BroadwayWorld was there for Jackson's first performance. Check out more photos here!

Broadway's Tony Award winning original musical BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL celebrated one year on Broadway this week. The production opened on January 12th, 2014, and went on to win two Tony Awards: Best Actress in a Musical (Jessie Mueller) and Best Sound Design of a Musical (Brian Ronan). The production has also broken box office records at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. BroadwayWorld was there for the celebration; check out more photos here!

Tony and Emmy Award Winner Neil Patrick Harris, who recently completed his run on Broadway as the title character in HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, is hosting this year's Oscar ceremony. The ceremony will take place on Sunday, February 22nd of this year. This marks Harris's first time hosting the ceremony, though he is certainly not new to hosting, as he has hosted the Tony Awards four times. Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley, otherwise known as the undie-rock comedy-pop duo the SKIVVIES recently made their 42West debut in their show THE SKIVVIES...GOLD AS ICE. Among their guests were Tony winners Lena Hall and Laura Benanti, as well as Colin Donnell, Patti Murin, Sierra Boggess, Autumn Hurtbert, Erik Altemus, and Betsy Wolfe. Youtube sensation Christina Bianco recently previewed her new comedy APPLICATION PENDING. The show will be running from January 26th to April 19th at the Westside Theatre. This new comedy features Bianco playing a rookie admissions officer in a New York private school who is reviewing applications of kindergarteners. In addition, Bianco will play forty other roles in the play's duration. BroadwayWorld was there for the special press preview of the show. Click here for more photos!

One of this season's original Broadway musicals HONEYMOON IN VEGAS officially opened last night, January 15th, at the Nederlander Theatre to positive reviews. Starring Rob McClure, Brynn O'Malley, and Tony Danza, the musical features an original score by Jason Robert Brown and a book by Blazing Saddles and Andrew Bergman. The musical tells the story a regular guy and his girlfriend who go to Vegas to be married and the chaos that ensues once they get there!
