This week THEATER TALK, features our annual Tony Wrap up, an AndrewAndrew report from the TONY Red Carpet and a discussion about J.B. Priestley's lost theatrical gem Cornelius. Co-hosted by Michael Riedel of the New York Post and producer Susan Haskins, this episode premieres Friday, June 14, 2013 at 1 AM (Saturday morning) on Thirteen/PBS, and repeats in the New York metro area on CUNY TV* Saturday at 8:30 PM, Sunday at 12:30 PM, and Monday at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 7:30 PM.

Fresh off the news of 20 percent higher ratings for this year's annual Tony Awards broadcast on CBS, THEATER TALK's "Tony Team" - Jesse Green of New York Magazine, Michael Musto of Gawker & Out.com, and Patrick Pacheco of the Los Angeles Times - reviews the recent ceremony, discussing the major upsets of the evening and singling out some of the broadcast's outrageous moments.

Then, roving cultural correspondents AndrewAndrew report from this year's Tony Awards red carpet, talking to nominees, (soon-to-be) winners and other stars about Mayor Bloomberg's Tony, Michael Riedel's column, and the now defunct TV series Smash.

Also on the program, actor Alan Cox and director Sam Yates discuss their production of J.B. Priestley's Cornelius, now part of Brits Off Broadway 2013 at 59E59 Theaters. Written in 1935, Cornelius is a long-forgotten gem by the important English writer, dealing with how a worldwide depression affects the livelihoods of working people. Our guests explain why London critics called this revival "painfully prescient" and "eerily relevant."

THEATER TALK is the weekly series dedicated to the world of the stage. The series, jointly produced by the not-for-profits Theater Talk Productions and CUNY TV, is taped in the Himan Brown TV and Radio Studios at The City University of New York (CUNY) TV in Manhattan and distributed to 65+ participating public television markets nationwide. THEATER TALK is made possible in part by The New York State Council on the Arts, The New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, The TDF/TAP Plus Program, The CUNY TV Foundation and The Friends of THEATER TALK.
