Welcome to THE FRIDAY SIX: Q&As with your favorite Broadway stars. Want to know what hooked them to a career in the theater? Their dream roles? Their Broadway crushes? Read on!

In this week's edition, we caught up with Harriett D Foy, who stars as 'Princess Peyai' in Amazing Grace, currently playing at the NederlanderTheatre.

What is the first Broadway show you ever saw?

That would be A Chorus Line and I think I drove people crazy singing the Music and the Mirror all of the time while doing some insane choreography that I made up. The first Broadway ticket that I bought for myself was for Ma Rainey's Black Bottom..that cast was incredible!!

What is your most unique pre-show ritual?

Okay, there is quite a bit that goes on to put Princess Peyai together... One, the red leather jacket that she wears must face a certain way on the hanger. Two, I scent the dressing room with lemongrass, lavender or sandalwood drops. Three, I always open my script to the same page (my character bio) and place the whip on it, I change it to another page after my first entrance. Four, no matter if I'm doing a play or a musical I must include my tongue twister/rigamaroles warm-up of tongue twisters from one to twelve that I repeat five times each while jumping a faux rope. Five, I end each warm-up with a prayer for the company and the audience.

What is your most memorable "the show must go on" moment?

Hmm, was it the time when the lyrics to my song went out of my head (Jimmy Buffet's Don't Stop the Carnival) and I hummed/mumbled the first three lines...nope, was it the time when the props mistress filled a briefcase that I used with heavy things and didn't tell me, so I threw my shoulder out during the scene (Holiday Heart)...nope, was it the time I made my entrance and stepped on my period dress and slid down a rake stage only stopping before falling off the stage (Reunion)...nope, most memorable took place in Chicago while doing Amazing Grace... I'm in my first scene as Princess Peyai (she was really bad-ass then) and I crack the whip towards Thomas (Chuck Cooper), as it comes back it catches in my crown. Now mind you, I'm still talking thinking...oh I can get this out, nope...finally, I had to ask one of the warriors to come release the whip from the crown. Now had it been a comedy, I would have made a bit out it and pulled myself throughout the scene.

What is the one role you want to play before you die?

Dang, only one?! Okay for plays...Medea and anything Marcus Gardley writes. For musicals, Vera Charles, Mame, Miss Hannigan and Mrs. Lovett.

Who is your Broadway crush?

John Lloyd Young (Jersey Boys), he is so talented, charming and looks great in a suit. The dashing Tom Hewitt who is regal, handsome, serves a master class whenever he is on the stage and looks damn fine in a fur coat!
