Coming up this week, 54 BELOW, the performance venue located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz and beyond. 54 Below also launched its series of late night events. Joining Tuesday nights' popular "Backstage" with Susie Mosheris the "54 Piano Bar," a new vocal competition - "The Callback," and more:

Steve Kazee, July 8, 10, & 11 at 7PM, July 12 & 13 at 8PM, July 12 at 11PM:
The 2012 Tony Award winner for his performance as Guy in Once makes his 54 Below debut with this, his very first chance to share his original songs with New York audiences! Joined by his band, The Shiny Liars, this alt-country evening reflects Steve's southern upbringing. Inspired by artists such as Damien Jurado, Night Beds, Wilco, and others, a few of which Kazee will cover in the show, these special evenings showcase the tunes planned for his debut album, which he'll be recording this summer! In addition to winning the 2013 Grammy for Musical Theater Album for Once, Broadway has embraced Steve in roles including Sir Lancelot in Monty Python's Spamalot, Starbuck, opposite Audra McDonald, in Roundabout's 110 in the Shade, To Be or Not to Be at MTC, and Edward Albee's Seascape. $45-60 cover charge on July 5 & 6. $25 food & beverage minimum.

Norbert Leo Butz, July 8 & 10 at 9:30PM:
Back by popular demand! Two-time Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz returns with a BRAND NEW SHOW focusing on the female - both the mythic & the contemporary. Expect tunes from the likes of Elvis Costello, Loretta Lynn, Frank Sinatra and even a little Johnny Cash! After celebrating his dazzling cabaret debut (which went on to be the critically-lauded CD), last year at 54 Below, we're delighted to re-welcome the star of Wicked, The Last 5 Years, Dirty, Rotten, Scoundrels, Thou Shalt Not, Catch Me if You Can and the forthcoming Big Fish. Ryan Scott Oliver AND Lindsay Mendez'S ACTOR THERAPY, July 8 at 11:30PM
ACTOR THERAPY goes 54 Below! Presented by award-winning composer-lyricist Ryan Scott Oliver (35mm, Darling) and Broadway actress Lindsay Mendez (Wicked, Dogfight, Godspell), ACTOR THERAPY, is a series of masterclasses for performers looking to improve their auditions, build a better book, and expand their understanding of what it means to be an actor and song interpreter in New York today. Join us as we celebrate the end of their summer session! Cover charge $10. Two drink minimum.

WBGO JAZZ SERIES: ROBERTA GAMBARINI & THE George ColeMAN QUARTET, July 9 at 7PM & 9PM:
The extraordinary Italian jazz vocalist Roberta Gambarini has just returned from an extensive Far East tour with her own band. Roberta regularly thrills audiences in the U.S., Europe, and Asia singing with the Dizzy Gillespie JAZZ ORCHESTRA or the ROY HARGROVE QUINTET. The legendary and powerful Memphis-born jazz saxophone virtuoso George ColeMAN gained his first international recognition as an outstanding member of the MiLes Davis QUINTET with Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, and Tony Williams, and he has been making modern jazz history ever since as a bandleader and recording artist. ?ROBERTA GAMBARINI, VOCALS;? LATE NIGHT: BACKSTAGE, July 9 at 10:30PM:
Each week, Broadway cast members and audiences alike gather to mix and mingle at 54 Below, Broadway's most intimate haunt, located in the heart of the theatre district. Musical Director Brad Simmons keeps the house jumping from the piano, while host Susie Mosher (the love child of Joanne Worley & Paul Lynde) guides the crowd through an evening of music, mayhem and full throttle belting, with special guests from Broadway and beyond dropping in to perform. NPR had this to say: "The best thing happening right now might just be the weekly Backstage. Hosted by the ridiculously funny Susie Mosher and pianist Brad Simmons who clearly is the man, it's two feel-good hours among New York's theater people, who seem like they're having a really fine time. Can't recommend it highly enough!" At this week's Backstage is Annie Funke (Lucille Lortel Award Winner, It There is I Haven't Found It Yet, Hairspray), Jeannette Bayardelle (Hair, The Color Purple), ?Will Taylor(Chorus Line, Le Cage Aux Folles), Bobby Cronin (composer, The Concrete Jungle), Melanie Field (Evita), Stacy Sullivan (celebrated chanteuse), Annie Brummel(Wicked tour), Nick Cordero (Rock of Ages) and Russell Fischer (Jersey Boys). LATE NIGHT: 15:54, July 11 at 11PM:
"In the future, everyone will be famous for 15 minutes." Re-inventing the magic on the site of the original Studio 54, Thursday's 15:54 party at 54 Below will unlock it's doors to cutting edge Performance Artists and DJs, Hosted by The Haus of Mimosa. Upcoming guests and resident artists include Lance Horne, DJ Lord Easy,Varsity Interpretive Dance Squad, Slanty Eyed Mama, Erin Markey, Noah Stewart, Que Linda, The Creamery Studio, and Big Christmas. Cover charge $15. Cover charge includes one complimentary well, wine, or beer beverage.

Jackie Hoffman, July 14 at 9:30PM:
Broadway's bitter favorite Jackie Hoffman's "Old Woman, New Material" will leave you in stitches! Slip into some summer snark and catch the hilarious and always edgy and wrong Jackie as she debuts some new original songs and rips some Broadway standards to shreds. Directed by Michael Schiralli; Musical Direction by Will Van Dyke. $30-40 cover charge. $25 food & beverage minimum.
