To create buzz and connection, Broward County is inviting the community to record and share their Duende experience on FRUIO, an online and mobile video platform. FRUIO, the official app of Broward 100 and Duende, is both a user-friendly video camera app with advanced editing features and a trusted local video marketplace. It's easy, fast, fun and free!

As part of Broward County's commitment to bringing the arts and culture to its residents, Broward Cultural Division and Broward 100 joined forces with Southern Stars LLC, a Broward-based video technology company, in order to leverage FRUIO, their online video platform and smartphone app.

"Through the use of cutting edge technology, DUENDE and Broward 100's year of celebrations are now accessible to everyone with a smartphone or computer through FRUIO," notes Earl Bosworth, Director at Broward Cultural Division. "We are excited to provide a portal that allows viewers to stay connected with us, create and share their own videos and watch Duende from their phone on this user-friendly platform."

FRUIO includes an online video network at Fruio.com as well as a smartphone app which enables the user to shoot and edit video right within their phone. Fruio is free to download and use and available in both iOS and Android.

By downloading the free Fruio app or visiting fruio.com, viewers can watch videos on Broward 100's initiatives, including VisualEyes, InsideOut Broward, "WE" and DUENDE or create their own video and share it in other social media platforms. The FRUIO team reviews content before posting to ensure all video is appropriate for all ages. On Saturday, October 3rd, viewers will also be able to view live DUENDE performances from their smartphone with the Fruio app. For more information, visit Fruio.com, download Fruio from your app store or email info@Fruio.com.

"The Southern Stars team and I are proud to partner with Broward County on their centennial initiatives and beyond to provide technology solutions that empower, engage and amplify Broward's message," says Jason Kates, Founder and CEO of Southern Stars LLC and Fruio. "As locals, we are so very fortunate to be able to enjoy the world-class cultural offerings that Broward brings to its residents and visitors. Our mission is to expand Broward's reach through the Fruio mobile app and marketplace platform so viewers anywhere can enjoy the arts from the comfort of their smartphone, tablet or computer."
