From the minds of Steven Sater (book and lyrics) and Duncan Sheik (music), comes the Tony Award winning musical, Spring Awakening.

With an alt-rock embrace, the show explores issues faced by teenagers in 19th century Germany that have proven timeless in the universal trials of growing-up. Based on the 1891 play by Frank Wedekind, sexuality, friendships, abuse, suicide, depression, puberty, and education are all plumbed as the characters search for answers in their confusing new world.

In the intimate space at The Warehouse, audiences will have the opportunity to purchase Premiere Seating which places them stage-side complete with drinks during the production. The set, designed by Will Lowry (previous The Rocky Horror Show), is one of the largest ever assembled in The Warehouse consuming a 7-piece band at its core and providing runways towards the audience for the performers.

Spring Awakening is directed by Jenna Tamisiea, the co-Founder and Artistic Director of GLOW Lyric Theatre. The cast features many new faces on The Warehouse stage and a diverse group as well, stretching across race, gender, and age.
