Kyle Sugarman, a 16-year-old from Fort Collins, CO, writes a 456-page play that he's sure will be the biggest hit in the history of Broadway. Escaping to New York to find a home for his magnum opus, Kyle finds himself facing off with a flighty producer, while also dealing with the absence of his deadbeat father and flirtations with the Captain of the Girls Swim Team back at home. Ever closer to seeing his name in lights, Kyle's adventure is as funny, touching, and surprising as the play he's written.

The cast features John Ellison Conlee (Obie Award-winner for Curious Case of the Watson Intelligence, Tony Award-nominee Full Monty), Will Connolly (Once on Broadway), John Doherty (A Bright New Boise at The Wild Project), Willa Fitzgerald (MTV's Scream), Ana Kayne (The Club at Playwrights Horizons), and Morgan Ritchie (The Seagull at Huntington Theatre Company).

The design team includes Dane Laffrey (Drama Desk Award-nominee The Boys in the Band) for sets and costumes, Jen Schriever (Die Fledermaus at the Metropolitan Opera) for lighting, and Brandon Wolcott (resident sound designer, CollaborationTown)

Michael Mitnick's (playwright) theatre credits include Sex Lives of Our Parents (world premiere Second Stage Uptown), Fly By Night (Playwrights Horizons; Dallas Theater Center; TheatreWorks), Ed, Downloaded (world premiere Denver Center Theatre Company), and Babs the Dodo (world premiere at Washington Ensemble Theatre). Commissions for The Roundabout and Manhattan Theatre Club. Michael's screenplay The Giver, an adaptation of the Newberry Award-winning novel starring Meryl Streep and Jeff Bridges, was released in August. Alumnus Ars Nova and Page 73 Playgroups. He received his MFA in Playwriting from the Yale School of Drama. He lives in Brooklyn.
