As BWW previously confirmed, real-life married couple Craig and Weisz will star as BETRAYAL's fictional married couple Robert, a publisher, and Emma, his wife who is having an affair with his literary agent friend, Jerry. Spall would play Jerry.

Pinter's BETRAYAL was written in 1978 and was inspired by the playwright's own affair with BBC Television's Joan Bakewell. The play was first produced that year by The National Theatre, starring Penelope Wilton, Michael Gambon and Daniel Massey and directed by Peter Hall. Trevor Nunn then directed a 1998 revival starring Douglas Hodge, Imogen Stubbs and Anthony Calf. In 2007, the Donmar Warehouse revived the piece featuring Toby Stephens, Samuel West and Dervla Kirwan. Most recently, the West End's Comedy Theatre hosted Ian Rickson's production of BETRAYAL, starring Kristin Scott Thomas, Douglas Henshall and Ben Miles.

The first Broadway production of BETRAYAL played the Trafalgar Theatre in 1980, with Raul Julia, Blythe Danner and Roy Scheider, followed by a 2000 revival featuring Juliette Binoche, Live Schreiber and John Slattery. BETRAYAL has also been seen in Australia, Hong Kong and Italy, as well as many regional theaters around the world. It received the 1979 Olivier Award for Best New Play.

Rafe most recently appeared on the London stage in the Royal Court's Constellations. Other theatre credits include If There Is I Haven't Found It Yet at the Bush, Hello and Goodbye with English Touring Theatre, Alaska at the Royal Court, John Gabriel Borkman at Donmar, The Knight of the Burning Pestle at the Young Vic, Just A Bloke with the Royal Court and A Prayer for Owen Meany at The National Theatre.

Rafe appeared in a supporting role in Ang Lee's Oscar-winning The Life Of Pi. Upcoming film projects include The F Word, Son of the South and Kill Your Friends. He has also appeared on the big screen in Earthbound, Prometheus, Anonymous, One Day, The Scouting Book for Boys and more. His TV credits include Pete Versus Life, The Shadow Line and Desperate Romantics.

BETRAYAL is Weisz's Broadway debut. She has appeared in the West End in 2009's A Streetcar Named Desire. Weisz's film credits include the upcoming Oz the Great and Powerful, The Bourne Legacy, Dream House, The Lovely Bones, Definitely, Maybe, The Fountain, Constantine, About a Boy, The Mummy and The Mummy Returns, Beautiful Creatures and more.

Craig, star of the latest Bond flick Skyfall, was last seen onstage in 2009's A Steady Rain alongside Hugh Jackman. Craig has also appeared on the big screen in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Dream House, Quantum of Solace, The Golden Compass, Casino Royale, Road to Perdition, Elizabeth and many more.
