Skyline Theatre Company is bringing Broadway to Bergen County this holiday season with Jim Stanek starring in their benefit staging of It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, Saturday December 13th, 7:30pm at the Hermitage's Jaqua Hall, 335 N. Franklin Turnpike in Ho-Ho-Kus.

Mr. Stanek is a five time Broadway veteran of Elton John's Lestat, the classic Little Women, The Rivals, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum starring Whoopi Goldberg, and Indiscretions starring Jude Law.  In 2009 he will add number six to his already impressive credits appearing in The Story Of My Life with Malcolm Gets. Stanek has also graced the Off-Broadway circuit starring in the new musicAl Frankenstein; I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change; and Jaques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris.

Mr. Stanek, who will be playing the role immortalized by the great James Stewart, will be joined on stage by New York actress Tiffany Lutz as Mary.  The rest of the population of Bedford Falls is portrayed by a cast of New Jersey professionals: Joe Vierno of Edison, Paul Salvetoriello of South Orange, Sarah Gafgen of Washington's Crossing, and Alan Van Antwerp of Little Falls.

Alan Van Antwerp provides all of the sound effects in this 1940's radio play version of It's A Wonderful Life produced by Skyline Theatre Company.

Frank Capra's beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a 1940's radio broadcast, and brings the story of the idealistic George Bailey as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve.

The Skyline Theatre Company is Bergen County's newest professional theatre company.  STC brings professional performers, designers, and staff from New York City and the surrounding area together to produce an exciting array of musicals and plays.  The company is proud of its Artists in Focus program which brings professionals from Broadway and television into the classroom and an apprentice program that trains arts students with professionals while in production.

Look for other STC productions and events this season.  The annual STC Broadway for the Arts fund raiser is April 26th, 2009, at Portobello Restaurant in Oakland.  In the spring, a production of the Pulitzer Prize winning play Proof will be presented at the George Frey Center for Arts and Recreation in Fair Lawn May 14-17, 2009.

Celebrate the holiday season and enjoy exciting professional theatre right here in Bergen County.  Join STC for an evening of angels earning their wings in It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play Saturday evening, December 13th at 7:30pm, at the national historic site The Hermitage's Jaqua Hall, 335 N.
