Photo Flash: Patron Anejo and John Varvatos Launch Limited Edition Holiday Bottle at Varvatos' Soho NYC Store
Patrón Spirits has partnered with world-renowned fashion designer John Varvatos, the first-ever artist to collaborate on a new design element of the Patrón bottle, to craft a limited edition bottle stopper. The inspiration for the stopper emerged from Varvatos' love of music and the pursuit of perfection. Varvatos, known for his rugged designs and lifelong interest in rock 'n' roll, applied his edgy, masculine style and harnessed his effortlessly cool attitude to create the bottle stopper exclusively for Patrón Añejo tequila. Patrón Añejo and Varvatos launched the Limited Edition Holiday Bottle at Varvatos' Soho NYC store last night, December 6th. Check out photos from the event below!
Just like Patrón tequila, this bottle stopper is fashioned with a meticulous commitment to quality. Made of metal and adorned with the Patrón bee, the stopper's miniature guitar head design, complete with tuning keys, reflects Varvatos' personal style and represents Patrón Añejo's sophisticated character.
"As a fan of Patrón tequila for many years, I thought we'd lend a little rock 'n' roll attitude to the brand," said Varvatos. "I hope everyone enjoys this limited edition stopper for many years to come."
Never before has Patrón changed any piece of its instantly recognizable tequila bottle. Similar to Patrón Silver and Reposado, each bottle of Patrón Añejo is handcrafted with recycled glass, then inspected and numbered by hand. Bottles of Patrón Añejo with the Varvatos stopper will not only enhance any home bar, they are also certainly sure to become an exclusive collector's item.
In honor of this collaboration, Patrón and John Varvatos made a donation to a charity important to Varvatos and his family. The bottle stopper, which comes with a 750ml bottle of Patrón Añejo tequila in a unique limited edition gift box, will be available in time for the holidays at select retailers in early December 2012.
Patrón Añejo is a delicate blend of uniquely aged tequilas, all aged in small white oak barrels for a minimum of 12 months. Similar to winemaking, each vintage of Patrón Añejo is carefully blended to produce a smooth and distinctive- tasting tequila.
Simply Perfect in every way, Patrón tequila is an ultra-premium luxury white spirit that's delicious on the rocks, and mixes flawlessly into most any cocktail. From the highest-quality Weber Blue agave plants grown in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, to the centuries-old distillation process, to the signed, handcrafted glass bottles, Patrón is produced with unparalleled attention to detail. Imported and marketed by The Patrón Spirits Company, brands in the portfolio consist of Gran Patrón Burdeos, Gran Patrón Platinum, Patrón Silver, Patrón Reposado, Patrón Añejo, Patrón XO Cafe (coffee liqueur), Patrón XO Cafe Dark Cocoa (coffee and chocolate liqueur), and Patrón Citrónge (extra fine orange liqueur), as well as Pyrat Caribbean rums, and Ultimat ultra-premium vodka.
