Last night some of New York's most gifted singers, comedians, and novelty performers will bring 2nd Avenue and the Lower East Side of a century ago back to side-splitting, tear-jerking life in "You Don't Have to Speak Yiddish to Understand the Truth!" Playing the Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, for one night only, this star-infested revue is produced by Media Blitz Entertainment, and hosted by the biggest star in Yiddish vaudeville today, the emcee Shane Baker. BroadwayWorld brings you photos from the event below!

With just enough English for New York audiences to understand (out-of-towners, forget it!), the high-Yiddish-content show benefits two of New York's most venerable, and obscureJewish cultural organizations – The Sholem Aleichem Memorial Foundation and The Congress for Jewish Culture.
