Photo Flash: Jason Robert BrownÂ's 13 Comes to the Tarrytown Music Hall, 12/18-12/20
The Random Farms Kids Theater will present the new musical 13 at The Tarrytown Music Hall, December 18-20. This will be one of the first local productions of the musical, which ran on Broadway last year and featured on all-teen cast and band.
Written by Tony-Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown (Parade, The Last Five Years, Songs For A New World), 13 is a hilarious, high-energy musical for all ages about discovering that cool is where you find it, and sometimes where you least expect it. The rock score will be performed in Tarrytown by members of The Edge, RFKT’s company for teens. The band will feature a mix of professional and student musicians, one of whom is sixteen-year-old Lexi Bodick, who played electric bass in the Broadway production. The show is directed and choreographed by Marc Tumminelli, with musical direction by Drew Rienstra.
Performances are Friday, Dec. 18 at 8pm, Saturday, December 19 at 1pm and 8pm, and Sunday, December 20 at 1pm. The theater is located at 13 Main Street in Tarrytown. Directions can be found at www.tarrytownmusichall.org.
Tickets for 13 are $16 (children/seniors) and $18 (adults). To reserve seats, go to www.tarrytownmusichall.org or call 877-840-0457. Tickets will also be available at the door. Discounts are available for groups of 20 or more.
