Palace of Fine Arts League announced today the appointment of Jason Hoover as the new Managing Director of the historic Palace of Fine Arts Theatre. Located in San Francisco's Marina District, the 962-seat theatre is one of the Bay Area's pre-eminent entertainment and performance venues. Hoover joined the Palace of the Fine Arts Theatre in June 2016 with a wealth of experience in theatre management.

Palace of the Fine Arts League Board President Michael Luckoff said, "We're delighted to have obtained the services of this very bright enthusiastic devotee of the theatre. Jason comes to us with a multitude of ideas and concepts to make the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre a major player in the Bay Area arts scene."

Adds Hoover, "The opportunity to bring exciting performances to this beautiful venue and the global audience it attracts is a dream come true, and one that I am poised to undertake given my experience bringing theatre to the Bay Area. The programming I hope to bring will be as diverse as the communities we serve and help preserve the Palace of Fine Arts' place as a worldwide center for the arts."

Since 2010, Jason Hoover has served as the Artistic Director for Ray of Light Theatre in San Francisco. Additionally, he was the Executive Director for Broadway By the Bay in Redwood City. Jason is an accomplished freelance theatre director who received his B.A. in Fine Arts at the University of California, Riverside. He has toured and performed in venues across America. Originally from San Diego, California, he is now proud to call San Francisco home.
