Share the joy of great opera this holiday season as as Opera Lafayette brings new light to a familiar favorite. Start off your evening with our critically acclaimed French language production of Mozart's Così fan tutte, performed in two shortened acts with one intermission. Also known as "School for Lovers" Così follows the story of soldiers Guillaume and Fernand as they test the fidelity of each others fiancées by any means necessary.

The story continues with Philidor's Les Femmes Vengées, performed as a third act to Così. Taking place ten years later, Les Femmes Vengées revisits the lovers when the bloom of newly married life has faded. Artistic Director and Conductor Ryan Brown and Director Nick Olcott combine these two operas with mirror image plots into one delightful three-act production. Opera Lafayette will take Così fan tutte and Les Femmes Vengées to the Opéra Royal in Versailles this winter, having received an invitation to return following the highly celebrated 2012 production of Le Roi et le fermier.
