NBC News MEET THE PRESS Delivers Biggest Third-Quarter Audience in 4 Years

NBC News' "Meet the Press with Chuck Todd" (MTP) delivered its biggest third-quarter audience since 2011, outperforming ABC's "This Week" for the second quarter this year in total viewers. MTP also delivered its best third-quarter in the 25-54 demo since 2012.

Continuing its strong momentum, MTP closed the total viewer gap by 84% with CBS's "Face the Nation" (FTN) - which is only rated for 30 minutes of its broadcast - and won the demo over FTN in the first quarterly demo win since the Q4'12.

MTP ended the quarter as #2 both in total viewers and the demo, topping both ABC's "This Week" and CBS's "Face the Nation" half-hour, respectively.

This past Sunday, Sept. 20, MTP beat FTN in the demo for the 15th consecutive broadcast and topped ABC's "This Week" in total viewers for the 9th consecutive week. Week-over-week, MTP closed the demo gap with ABC's "This Week" by 51%.

For the 2014-2015 season, MTP closed the total viewer gap by 97% with ABC's "This Week" and closed the demo gap by 49% with CBS's "Face the Nation" half-hour compared to the previous season. MTP was up across-the-board season-to-season, +4% in total viewers and +2% in the demo.

This Sunday, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will exclusively speak with Chuck Todd in a two-part interview, to air on "Meet the Press" and on Monday's premiere of MSNBC's "MTP Daily." Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina will also join Sunday's "Meet the Press" exclusively.
