The Menier Chocolate Factory today announced its 2012 season, running from May 2012 to February 2013.

First up will be Harvey Fierstein's TORCH SONG TRILOGY, helmed by Tony and Olivier Award winner Douglas Hodge. Hodge won both awards for starring as Albin in LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, which also featured a book penned by Fierstein.

The Tony Award-winning TORCH SONG TRILOGY, described as "the poignant story of an outsider’s search for love and acceptance," will run from May 30 to August 12, 2012, with tickets on sale to the general public on April 18.

BranDon Thomas' comedy CHARLEY'S AUNT will run from September 20 to November 10. Ian Talbot returns to the Chocolate Factory following his production of The Invisible Man in 2010 to direct. Tickets go on sale to the general public on July 11.

Closing out the trio of just announced shows is Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG, from November 16, 2012 to February 23, 2013. Based on the play by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, Stephen Sondheim and George Furth’s musical charts the relationship of three friends over three decades in the entertainment business.

The musical is directed by Olivier award winning actress Maria Friedman, who returns to the Chocolate Factory for her directorial debut, following the success of her show Maria Friedman: Re-arranged and the 2010 production of The Invisible Man.
