John Chatteron's Sweet 16th Year is underway with a new installment of the widely popular Short Play Lab Series. More than a dozen works by seasoned pros and gifted newcomers alike will premiere at Roy Arias Studios this fall.

If you have a short play (no more than 10 pages), you have until September 7 to email your play to Mr. Chatterton at john.chatterton@gmail.com. Visit www.midtownfestival.org for further details.

SHORT PLAY LAB: SEPTEMBER 2014 PERFORMANCE:

Program A: Saturday, September 20 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 21 at 4:00 p.m.

Program B: Saturday, September 20 at 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 21 at 2:00 p.m. Roy Arias Studios, 300 W. 43rd St., New York City.

NO FEE THEATRE
The Midtown International Theatre Festival's 15th anniversary was a rousing success. To keep this high standard into the next decade and beyond, it was unanimously decided that the MITF will ELIMINATE ALL APPLICATION FEES to the prestigious summer festival, one of New York's most popular. And with more than 100 reviewers and industry in attendance, one of most respected.

AUTUMN ACCOLADES / WINTER WORKS
Details regarding the annual MITF Awards Ceremony are being finalized. Date/time and guest entertainment will be announced shortly. The Midwinter Madness Festival - another John Chatterton event - is gaining popularity. Last year's participation necessitated discussions to expand the festival held at the beginning of the year to two theatres. More to come... literally!
