LEGALLY BLONDE at Greasepaint Youtheatre Pink Power! Greasepaint Youtheatre presents LEGALLY BLONDE, a tale about overcoming stereotypes and believing in yourself. This romantic musical comedy is presented tonight, December 13 through December 22 at the historic Stagebrush Theater in Scottsdale.


Legally Blonde follows the story of sorority president Elle Woods as she crosses the country on a mission to find love at Harvard Law School. After discovering how the law can be used to help others, she uses her new found skills to defend a workout-queen in a murder trial, defying the odds and proving that pink can save the day!

LEGALLY BLONDE is a musical with music and lyrics by Laurance O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin and book by Heather Hach. The story is based on the novel Legally Blonde by Amanda Brown and the 2001 film of the same name.

LEGALLY BLONDE premiered in pre-Broadway tryouts in San Francisco, California.In April 2007 the show moved to Broadway, MTV helped promote the show by recording a reality TV program showing the audition process to find the next Elle Woods. The show went on to be a commercial and critical success in London's West End, where it opened at The Savoy Theatre in 2009, was nominated for five Laurence Olivier Awards and won three, including the Best New Musical award.

LEGALLY BLONDE runs December 13 through December 22, 2013, at the historic Stagebrush Theatre, 7020 East 2nd Street, Scottsdale. Showtimes: Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m.
