Kat Gang brings her unique vocal style described as a "musical breath of fresh air" to a collaboration with Nate Mayland, a trombone player and composer. Nate has spent the last eleven years working as a trombonist and low brass freelancer, sharing stages with Bernadette Peters, Josh Grobin, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, the Chico O'Farrill Jazz Orchestra, Johnny Mathis, and belong to the orchestra of Lincoln Center's presentation of South Pacific.

The hip quartet consists of Nate Mayland, trombone; Barry Levitt, keys; Ray Marchica, drums; and Dick Scarpula, bass.

The songs are originals and twists on standards - the sound is jazz meets bossa nova meets folk meets pop!

There is a $15 music charge. Tickets at www.theiridium.com. For more information, visit www.katgang.net.
