After two sold-out shows, Karen is back to take you on a rockin' musical journey through her personal transformation as inspired by Janis Joplin. With anecdotes and Joplin songs including "Mercedes Benz," and "Bobby McGee," Irwin pays homage to the musical icon that changed her life. The concerts run July 25 at 8PM and July 26 at 7PM at The Cabaret at the Columbia Club, located at 121 Monument Circle, Indianapolis, IN.

Irwin, Indianapolis native and super-committed artist, has a long history in the performing arts. Her acting talents (honed very early on by every class Indianapolis offered) took her to prison -- ask about that later-- as well as to New York City, where she received the Best Actress in a Play award at the Midtown International Theatre Festival. Local audiences may remember her from her starring role in Assholes & Aureoles (an IndyFringe prize-winner), plays at The Phoenix Theatre, or from countless evenings bringing true heart to karaoke with her years of Karenoke, mentoring and generally bossing her audiences into submission. She also fronts the blues band, Karen and The Beast. You can keep up with Karen, including where to find her next via her website, karenirwin.com.

*Tickets: $15 - $45 (*$12 food or beverage minimum). For tickets call 317.275.1169, or order online at www.TheCabaret.org. $10 valet parking is available for cabaret patrons.
