Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper-Led Film SERENA Available on GooglePlay Prior to Theater Release

The newest film starring SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK pair Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper is getting an early release.

SERENA, starring the Academy Award-winner and Academy Award-nominee, is now available to rent from Google Play in advance of its movie theater release. The film will hit limited theaters in the USA on March 27. Click here to watch SERENA now.

The film, directed by Susanne Bier, is set in the North Carolina mountains at the end of the 1920s. George and Serena Pemberton, love-struck newly weds, begin to build a timber empire. Serena soon proves herself to be equal to any man: overseeing loggers, hunting rattle-snakes, even saving a man's life in the wilderness. With power and influence now in their hands, the Pembertons refuse to let anyone stand in the way of their inflated love and ambitions.

However, once Serena discovers George's hidden past and faces an unchangeable fate of her own, the Pemberton's passionate marriage begins to unravel leading toward a dramatic reckoning.

SERENA premiered at the BFI London Film Festival on Oct. 13 and was released in the UK on Oct. 24. Magnolia Pictures will open the film in the United States on March 27, 2015.

Cooper is currently making his return to the Broadway stage in Bernard Pomerance's drama The Elephant Man. The play, directed by Scott Ellis, will being previews on November 7th and play a limited 14-week run at the Booth Theatre. The actor first portrayed the role at the Williamstown Theater Festival in 2012, in a production co-starring Patricia Clarkson and Alessandro Nivola.

Cooper first gained recognition in the television shows Alias and Jack & Bobby. He later appeared in a supporting role in Wedding Crashers (2005), Yes Man (2008), and He's Just Not That Into You (2009). He achieved fame with his roles in The Hangover trilogy (2009-2013), The A-Team (2010), Limitless (2011), Silver Linings Playbook(2012), and The Place Beyond the Pines (2013). He received critical acclaim in the film American Hustle playing alongside actor Christian Bale. His work in Silver Linings Playbook earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. In 2011, People magazine named him the "Sexiest Man Alive". In 2006, he starred in Three Days of Rain on Broadway. He most recently earned an Academy Award nomination for his role as Chris Kyle in American Sniper (2014).

Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence will next appear in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, Joy and X-Men: Apocalypse. Among her film credits are Serena, X-Men: Days of Future Past, American Hustle, Silver Linings Playbook, the first two Hunger Games films and Winter's Bone.
