The Dio - Dining & Entertainment, Livingston County's professional, award winning dinner theatre, is very excited to present the return engagement of their popular production of The Last Five Years by Jason Robert Brown, directed by Steve DeBruyne with musical direction by Brian Rose.

Jason Robert Brown's Drama Desk winner The Last Five Years has been translated into a handful of languages and was named one of Time Magazine's 10 best shows of 2001. A testament to the show's longevity and spurred by the show's regional popularity, The Last Five Years enjoyed an Off-Broadway revival at Second Stage in 2013. A film adaptation was released in 2014 starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan.

An emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show's unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.

The cast of The Last Five Years features Dio favorites Steve DeBruyne (2014 Wilde Award Winner, Best Actor in a Musical) as Jamie and Thalia Schramm as Cathy.

All tickets include The Dio's dinner buffet, a non-alcoholic beverage, dessert and the show. The menu for The Last Five Years will include fresh, homemade bread sticks, house salad with choice of dressing, a choice of penne pasta with homemade marinara sauce baked to perfection or creamy alfredo sauce mixed with pasta and topped with mozzarella cheese, plus The Dio's signature boneless chicken breast, hand battered and fried to a golden brown.

Performances take place at The Dio, 177 E. Main Street, Pinckney Michigan, 48169 from June 3 to June 18, Friday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday afternoons. There will be one Thursday evening performance on June 2.

Tickets for all performances are available now and may be purchased by visiting diotheatre.com or by calling (517) 672-6009. Seating is limited so consider making your reservations well in advance.
