Hale Centre Theatre Rejuvenates the Spirit of Christmas with Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Hale Centre Theatre in downtown Gilbert is well known for their annual production of Charles Dickens', A Christmas Carol. Since receiving the award for "Best Christmas Production in Arizona," audiences have been lining up in Gilbert to see Scrooge and his ghostly visitors. It has become a family tradition for audiences and a must-see every holiday season, with each year bringing a little something different.

Says director David Dietlein, about this year's production, "The beauty of A Christmas Carol is that it's something we can all relate to; sometimes we need a second chance, and it's never too late to change. It will some light-hearted humor and of course some fantastic special effects."

Hale Theatre's production will always stay true to Charles Dickens' 1843 novel. It will be full of traditional Christmas Carols weaved into the story with melodious singers, talented actors, beautiful costumes, and elaborate sets. It truly has something for everyone.

This year's production will have many new actors joining the two cast as well as some returning favorites. Heading up the "Red" cast is FOX10 AZAM weather anchor, Cory McCloskey, as Scrooge. Leading the charge of the "Green" cast is seasoned Scrooge, Mark Kleinman, who has been playing Scrooge at Hale Theatre since 2011. Seats for this production fill up so quickly that Hale Theatre has expanded the amount of shows this year to now include the two casts performing 49 productions in the span of four weeks.

Show dates are Monday through Saturday at 8:00 PM with 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM Saturday matinees, and select 5:00 PM showings on weekdays.

Prices range from $22 to $36. Children ages five through twelve are just $18.
