Co-artistic director Gary Rucker will direct seven-time Tony Awards winner "How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" on the Main Stage at Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts opening Friday, May 6.

Big business means big laughs in the delightfully clever lampoon of life on the corporate ladder. A tune-filled comic gem that took Broadway by storm, boasts an exhilarating score by Frank Loesser including I Believe In You, Brotherhood of Man, and The Company Way. A satire of big business in the 1960's, How To Succeed follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch, who relies on a "How To" book to climb the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive. He tackles such familiar, but potent dangers as the aggressively compliant "company man", the office party, back-stabbing co-workers, caffeine addiction and, of course, true love. Power, ambition, greed... it's just another day at the office, Broadway-style! Winner of both the Tony and Pulitzer Prize for its status as a classic, not-to-be-missed musical treat.

"Food Truck First Friday" - Opening Night - Friday, May 6
Rivertown Theaters and Kajun Karno Kitchen will introduce pre-theater fare for hungry theatergoers who want to arrive early for the show and enjoy cocktails, canapés and a music combo live in the Courtyard prior to opening night curtain. Kajun Karno Kitchen Chef Patrick Darcey will serve a sampler plate of bacon wrapped shrimp, smoked boudin, and fried fish for $12 per order from 6:30pm-7:45pm. Desserts and coffee will also be available for purchase after the show.

"Opening night is always especially exciting and so many of our patrons tell us they would like to park early and be able to relax and dine nearby before the show," said co-artistic director Kelly Fouchi. "We are introducing this in hopes that we will make their evening extra convenient and fun."
