Greenhouse Ensemble managing director, Reanna Armellino and artistic director, Hazen Cuyler have announced the dates and times for its Fall production, "The House of Yes" a comedy by Wendy MacLeod."It's the kind of play that we passed around to the company members and everyone just laughed and laughed, said Cuyler, who also directs. "People were actually laughing out loud," added Armellino, "So the decision was easy."

The relatively New Theatre Company, located on 97th street on the upper West side, considers itself a "greenhouse for artists," and in effect welcomes artists of all disciplines to collaborate on a variety of projects. Prior to each performance, the company hosts a hour long, pre-show celebration with Featured Artists each night (Musicians and Visual Artists) as well as refreshments.

"The House of Yes" introduces the peculiar members of the Pascal family of McLean, Virginia- an unabashedly self-centered lot stricken with Kennedy envy. Set in the year 1983, 20 years after the assassination of JFK, the Pascals are preparing for Thanksgiving dinner amidst a hurricane, while awaiting the homecoming of the oldest son, Marty. The Pascals remind us that we all have our secrets, some families just have more than others.

"The title came from a graffiti I saw written on a bathroom wall: "We are living in a house of yes." And that made me think about Edgar Allan Poe and pornography and mostly about amorality." says playwright Wendy McLeod. "The play is about people that have never been said no to. It's about an insularity I see in the upper classes, people who have cut themselves off from the rest of the world and are living by the rules they've invented."

The production features Reanna Armellino (Jackie-O), Cory Haynes (Marty), Spencer Scott (Anthony), Jo Anne Sellers (Mrs. Pascal) and Jennifer Ward (Lesly). It is directed by Hazen Cuyler, Artistic Director of The Greenhouse Ensemble.

Show dates are tonight, September 22nd, through October 2nd, and play as follows: Thursday and Friday nights at 8pm; Saturdays at 3pm and 8pm; and Sundays at 7pm. The venue is at Theater West 97th, 214 97th Street Between Broadway and Amsterdam. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door and available online at this ticket link: www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2599992.

One Hour before each show, join us for our Pre-Show Celebration, with Featured Artists each night (Musicians and Visual Artists) as well as refreshments.
