How do you win the hand of a lovely and bookish damsel? Music, fantasy and dance explode onto Brenau's Hosch Theatre stage as two suitors, the handsome-but-egocentric town bully and the prince who was cursed and turned into a horrible beast, follow delightfully different paths to capture her heart. Disney's beloved version of the "tale as old as time", Beauty and the Beast, opens Nov. 8, with singing furnishings and dancing tea sets, creating a grand spectacle for which the Gainesville Theatre Alliance has become known.

The Gainesville Theatre Alliance, now in its 37th season, is a nationally acclaimed collaboration of the University of North Georgia, Brenau University, theatre professionals and the North Georgia community.

Belle, Beast, Gaston and company will perform in Brenau's Hosch Theatre in the John S. Burd Center at 429 Academy Street in Gainesville. Patrons can get a peek behind-the-scenes with a FREE Stage Tour at 6:00 p.m. on Oct. 25; performances run Nov. 8 - 19 with a special preview performance on Monday, Nov 7, with discounted tickets at just $10. There will be a FREE Opening Night Reception catered by LUNA's in the lobby following the Nov. 8 performance.

Tickets are $24-26 for adults, $22-24 seniors (65 and up), and $14-16 for students, depending on seat location. Select your own seats online at www.gainesvilleTHEATREalliance.org or by calling the Box Office at 678.717.3624, Monday - Friday from 10am to 4pm. MasterCard, Visa and Discover are accepted.
