On Sunday night, the Broadway hip-hop sensation Hamilton received 11 Tony Awards, including Best Musical of the year. Following the TONY broadcast, industry forecasters predict that the show's official cast recording will reach the top 10 of the Billboard 200 albums, and may earn as much as 35,000 equivalent album units in the week ending June 16. (up from 29% from week ending June 9) The achievement will mark the first time a cast recording has reached the top 10 since 2011's BOOK OF MORMON.

The Billboard 200 chart is a ranking of the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The latest top 10 list will be revealed on Sunday, June 19th.

Currently, the original Hamilton Broadway cast recording has sold a total of 445,000 copies in the U.S., through the week ending June 9, according to Nielsen Music. The two-disc set was released on September 25, 2015 and has already set multiple records, placing among the top 20 best-selling cast albums of the last 25 years and the biggest selling cast album in over 10 years. In addition, the album, which debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard 200, was the highest debut for a cast album since 1961 and has enjoyed a spot in the top 20 for the last 13 weeks. In May, the recording was officially platinum certified, meaning it had sold in excess of one million units.
