Story Circle: Summers on Staten Island invites Staten Islanders to challenge perceptions of the borough by sharing true stories at the Staten Island Museum on August 9th from 4-6pm. In the dog days of August, share hot summer stories and gain refreshing perspectives on Staten Island. The program will begin with thought-provoking performances by notable Staten Island community members, storytellers, and poets performing pieces inspired by the borough. A community story circle after the presentations will invite the audience to share memories and anecdotes about their experiences in Staten Island, and engage in discussion with neighbors. Program is free with Museum admission. Event is produced by The Five Boro Story Project and commissioned by The Laundromat Project.
