By popular demand, award-winning family musician and YouTube favorite, Eric Herman returns to the Seattle area with two free rock 'n' roll shows for families in July.

Eric Herman and the Thunder Puppies will perform at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 14 at Thornton A. Sullivan Park, 11405 Silver Lake Rd., Everett, WA, and at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10 at Juanita Beach Park, 9703 NE Juanita Dr., Kirkland, WA.. The Everett concert is part of the annual Silver Lake Concert Series. The Kirkland concert is one of this year's Kirkland Summer Kids Concerts.

An Eric Herman and the Thunder Puppies show is a rock 'n' roll family concert experience like no other. Imagine the enthusiasm and energy of Jack Black, the comic delivery of Weird Al, the musical chops of Sting, and the crazy charm of your cool Uncle Bob, and combine that with an amazing band playing instantly engaging songs about monsters, dancing animals, and arguing pirates. Bursting with comedy, creativity, and audience participation, Eric Herman's all-ages show has been described as "hands-down wonderful, one-of-a-kind entertainment" (Michelle Hankes, event coordinator, Everett, WA).

Eric Herman's concerts also feature his daughters, Becca (13) and Evee (11) -- whom Eric claims are increasing stealing his show -- doing a hilarious introduction of the band (mostly making fun of their dad), performing comical and sweet costumed theatrics during "Steve the Superhero," "Blackbeard, Bluebeard and Redbeard," and "The Tale of the Sun and the Moon," and singing, dancing, and joking along in adorably entertaining fashion.

Performance highlights include a "So You Think You Can Dance Really Badly" dance contest during "Ants in Your Pants," with CD prizes as judged and awarded by Becca and Evee; band members doing impressions of Yoda, Batman, Mickey Mouse, and other geeky celebrities during an audience favorite, "Take a Bath"; and energetic songs where everyone, old and young, moves along, or at least tries to ("Dance Like and Animal," "You Are What You Eat," "What a Ride"). Eric is sure to include a solo rendition of his big YouTube hit, "The Elephant Song," which continues to be a tremendous crowd-pleaser and showcases his baffling lack of animal knowledge. (You'd think he'd have learned by now!)

A hit with families nationwide, Eric Herman's warm and witty music videos have received over 50 million views on YouTube; his body of work includes seven award-winning albums plus an award-winning DVD. Bubble Wrap, a hard poppin' new family music album by Eric Herman and the Thunder Puppies, is Eric's eighth album and his first album backed by the full compliment of his band.

Says Eric Herman, " The Puppies and I are super excited to share our new album, Bubble Wrap, and I promise that our Everett and Kirkland area fans will hear some really great songs and have so much fun their faces will freeze into weird smiling shapes that will forever be an embarrassment!"

Bubble Wrap is available on iTunes, CDBaby, Amazon, and Eric Herman's website, HERE.
