During a U.N. GA Summit reception at the Waldorf Astoria, Dule Hill and fellow cast members of After Midnight performed for President Obama and the First Lady. The cast performed "I've Got the World on a String," "Devil in the Deep Blue Sea," and "Creole Love Call." Hill sung the first of these.

Dule Hill told the Associated Press, "I really enjoyed it. I never thought this would ever happen. If you'd have told me I was going to sing in front of all these dignitaries a month ago I would have laughed." Click here to read the full article from the Associated Press.

Dule Hill, an actor and dancer, has appeared on numerous TV Series. His main roles have been as Charlie Young on "The West Wing" and Burton Guster on "Psych." Hill is currently working on "Psych," which is entering its 8th season. He has also previously appeared in movies, such as "Holes," and on the stage in Broadway's family drama Stick Fly. Hill is returning to Boadway this season in After Midnight. With his own unique song and dance style, Hill will serve as "The Host" of the evening, leading the audience through the heat and glamour of the Harlem Renaissance using the words of Langston Hughes.

AFTER MIDNIGHT is a musical that celebrates the Jazz Age, focusing on Duke Ellington years as the Cotton Club in Harlem. Performances begin October 18th at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre and it officially opens November 8th. Dule Hill will be joined by American Idol- and Grammy Award-winner Fantasia Barrino. After Midnight will also feature the big-band sounds of nine-time Grammy Award-winner Wynton Marsalis' Jazz at Lincoln Center All-Stars.
