The real calendar girls raised over 5 million dollars in support of Leukemia and Lymphoma Research in Great Britain. What made their calendar so popular and worthy of attention is that the "girls" were middle-aged women photographed in the nude, though maintaining their modesty with strategically placed props.

Tim Firth's adaption of his 2003 screenplay, Calendar Girls, landed on stage in 2010 and earned the Olivier Award for Best Comedy Play. In keeping with the true voices, hearty humor, sense of decency and courage of the original ladies of Yorkshire, England, Prescott Center for the Arts will produce Calendar Girls during the last two weekends of February 2017 with a cast calendar of their own to go on sale November 1st.

The proceeds for their calendar are being donated to the Breast Care Center at Yavapai Regional Medical Center. Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month the kick off support of their charity is a High Tea at English Garden Tea Room in the Old Firehouse Plaza on October 22, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with all proceeds from the tea also going to the Breast Care Center at YRMC. Come have tea with the girls who drop everything for a good cause!
