British comedian John Oliver sparked controversy with Ecuador's President Rafael Correa by speaking about his alleged persecution of journalists and social media critics.

Oliver said, "If your skin was any thinner, you'd be a taint."

In one tweet, Correa calls Oliver "obnoxious than a diuretic."
