Witzenhausen Gallery Presents -"Residual Sugar" : A portrait photography series, photographed in Prague,Tel-Aviv & New York from 1996 to present. Featuring Tal Shpantzer, Bahar Behbahani, Jules Wood, Pépé Smit.

Israeli born photographer Tal Shpantzer has been based in New York since 2000, holding three citizenships, Tal has spent several years studying & shooting in Tel-Aviv, Prague & Europe after graduating from The Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1996, with a B.F.A. degree in Photography/Media Art.

Her work has been published and exhibited internationally. Most recently a portrait of artist Kiki Smith in W Magazine. She is the recipient of a Soros Center for Contemporary Art grant for her Limbus Diary series, and a Morrison Vanderlip media award.

Tal is currently working on her book project, and collaborating with Obscure Object Films, to animate her photos into live videos for clients and multimedia installations.

The show runs from Thursday July 14th until August 12th 2011.
