CHAPLIN, the Broadway musical depicting the life of film icon Charlie Chaplin, will launch a sit-down production in Saint Petersburg, Russia beginning in September of 2013 at the Saint Petersburg State Theater of Musical Comedy. The production, which will be performed in Russian and feature local performers and musicians, will play a 2-year engagement as a part of the theater's repertoire.

The musical depicts the life of film icon Charlie Chaplin, with music and lyrics by Christopher Curtis and book by three-time Tony Award-winner Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) andChristopher Curtis. The Russian production of CHAPLIN will again feature direction and choreography by Warren Carlyle (Finian's Rainbow, Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway). The Broadway production of CHAPLIN played the Barrymore Theatre August 2012 - January 2013. As previously reported, a North American tour of CHAPLIN is set to launch in the Fall of 2014.
