Adam Wachter is a composer/lyricist, music director, arranger, orchestrator, and pianist based in NYC. He scored the film "You Must Be Joking," which had its world premiere at the Seattle International Film Festival this May, and the web series "My Day," "The Battery's Down," and "Submissions Only," for which he also wrote the theme. He arranged and music directed the hit show Old Jews Telling Jokes, both Off-Broadway and in Chicago, and orchestrated the PBS documentary "Broadway Musicals: A Jewish Legacy." Adam's other music directing and keyboard credits include The Addams Family, Peter Pan, Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Unlock'd, the Off-Broadway revival of Carrie, and, most recently, the world premiere musical Dog and Pony at the Old Globe. In concert, he has accompanied Lea Michele, Trisha Yearwood, Jonathan Groff, Alysha Umphress, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Norm Lewis, Brent Barrett, Stephanie J. Block, Melinda Doolittle, Karen Olivo, and many more, and this summer he was honored to music direct and arrange Mayor Bill de Blasio's opening number in the annual Inner Circle Show. Adam is currently developing his original musical Tarrytown, which just received a reading at the Diversionary Theater in San Diego. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan, can be found online at adamwachter.com, and is frankly thrilled you even read this.
