According to Consequence Of Sound, Billy Corgan, Smashing Pumpkins front man, is leaving the wrestling industry for something a little more glamorous.

Corgan has spent the last several years as the creative director for Resistance Pro Wrestling. He was in charge of helping character development and creating story lines amongst the wrestlers. On top of that, he was scheduled to appear in a new reality TV show on AMC, but unfortunately the project was cancelled mid-development.

Now Corgan is headed to "The 48-Hour Musicals: Encore!", he'll be writing and co-producing a 20 minute musical in a crammed two day span. According to the Chicago Tribune, his musical is centered on "the Eleusinian Mysteries, a religious rite in Ancient Greece". Corgan has expressed a growing interest in musical theatre.

The play will run December 4th-14th at The Musical Theatre Company. Read the full article here.
