John is currently appearing on Broadway in Roundabout Theater Company's Bye Bye Birdie. John created the role of Chef Louis in the Broadway production of The Little Mermaid. He has also led the Broadway cast of The Producers as Max Bialystock, as well as played the roles of Roger Debris and Franz Liebkind. John was an original company member of the Broadway production of Jekyll & Hyde and the Off- Broadway hit Howard Crabtree's When Pigs Fly! and Batboy the Musical.

In addition to his theatrical roles, John has appeared on 30 ROCK, CUPID, and LAW & ORDER. He has also appeared in the film version of THE PRODUCERS and LAST NIGHT with Keira Knightley and Eva Mendes due for release in 2010. His first solo CD, COUNT THE STARS debuted in May 2008.
