The "greatest organist in all of Germany" suddenly dies, leaving his post vacant. In order to fill the position, the Leipzig city council invites a small number of musicians to audition for the appointment, including a young J.S. Bach. Based on actual events, BACH AT LEIPZIG imagines with hilarious wit and uncommon intelligence how six little-known musicians resorted to bribery, blackmail, and betrayal in an attempt to secure the most coveted musical post in all of Europe.

BACH AT LEIPZIG is directed by Producing Ensemble Director Stephen Weitz, and stars Ensemble Members Josh Hartwell and Jim Hunt, returning guest artists Michael Bouchard and Chris Kendall, and new BETC guest artists Anthony Bianco and Sam Gregory.

Recommended for patrons 13 years and older. Children under 8 years old are not permitted.

Performances at: The Carsen Theater, The Dairy Center for the Arts, 2590 Walnut Street, Boulder, Colo.
