This morning, the highly anticipated artist lineup for the 31st annual 99.5 WYCD Downtown Hoedown, presented by Ram Trucks, Coors Light and Coca Cola, was officially announced on The All New Dr. Don Morning Show featuring some of country's greatest superstars including Jake Owen, Uncle Kracker, Joe Nichols and Craig Morgan. The weekend-long event will once again turn the expansive grounds surrounding Comerica Park into county music central from Friday, May 31 through Sunday, June 2. Last year's 30th anniversary event marked a tremendous milestone for Detroit's original country music must-see summer event with its debut move to Comerica Park.

"We are very excited about bringing the WYCD Downtown Hoedown back to the Comerica Park grounds for a second year. This is an iconic event and this location offers us the opportunity to enrich the overall experience while staying in Downtown Detroit," noted Debbie Kenyon, Sr. VP/Market Manager for CBS RADIO Detroit. "In addition to another fantastic lineup at this years' Downtown Hoedown, we can offer the best of everything on the user-friendly grounds surrounding Comerica Park. There is great line of sight to see the performers, easy access to concessions, plentiful restroom facilities and people feel very safe in this area. Plus, there are opportunities to take a break in the shade of the Comerica Park Concourse and enjoy some of the great local talent on an additional stage inside the stadium."

The official 2013 99.5 WYCD Downtown Hoedown main stage artist lineups:

"I'm proud to continue our tradition of an incredible Hoedown lineup with superstar headline hitmakers like Uncle Kracker, Jake Owen, Joe Nichols, Craig Morgan, along with our tradition of today's hottest new country stars like Drake White, Casey James and Joel Crouse and Detroit's hottest local bands too," said Tim Roberts, Program Director and Operations Manager at WYCD.

Jake Owen, country music star, said: "The annual Hoedown is always an epic event and I'm thrilled to be a part of it this year. Can't wait to hang with the WYCD staff and play for all of my Detroit friends!"

Keeping with tradition, local bands from the Motor City are invited to submit their band's information at WYCD.com for a chance to be 'picked to play' at this year's 31st annual 99.5 WYCD Downtown Hoedown.

Back by popular demand and sold-out success, the WYCD Downtown Hoedown is again offering a limited number of 3-day weekend passes, for only $30, which go on sale this Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m. and while supplies last. Weekend passes are available at all Ticketmaster locations, ticketmaster.com, or service fee free at the Joe Louis Arena and Fox Theatre box offices and Hockeytown Authentics in Troy. Advance individual day tickets will go on sale Friday, March 15 at 10 a.m. A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit Defeat The Label charity that promotes a bully free society without social labels and stereotypes.

Debuting in 1983, the annual event has played host to such legendary country artists as Hank Williams, Jr., Brenda Lee, Tanya Tucker, Mel Tillis and Willie Nelson, revered megastars Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire and Big & Rich, and today's most popular breakout country and crossover bands like Rascal Flatts, Lonestar and Lady Antebellum.
