Five new companies have joined the Albuquerque Theatre Guild, the organization that promotes live theater in Albuquerque. By joining the ATG, these groups benefit from collective outreach efforts to encourage and engage attendance at live theater performances around the Albuquerque area.

"Great theater is always a collaborative effort and collaborating with the other practitioners in Albuquerque is a must. ATG is an asset to the thriving theater community and is a great way of sharing information and resources. Southwest Rural Theatre Project is proud to be one of its newest members," says Leslie Coleman, founder of SWRTP.

Catherine McGill, co-founder of Rainbow Studio Theater, says, "We joined ATG because in this era of dwindling commitments for arts and cultural programming, collaboration is of the utmost importance. We are proud to be a part of a collective that works together to 1) leverage/share financial and in-kind resources, 2) create positive change in the arts community and 3) produce world class events right here in our own hometown."

The five new members groups are:
· Foul Play Cafe: Located within the Sheraton Uptown Hotel, the Foul Play Cafe is an interactive dining experience. The cafe blends a murder mystery play with a four-course meal for a unique evening out. Foulplaycafe.com

· The Mansion Players: The Mansion Players is an inter-generational group whose focus is bringing theatre arts to Valencia County. They perform at senior centers, at UNM's Valencia County campus, and at fundraising events around the county. Mansionplayers.org

· Rainbow Studio Theater: A resident company of VSA North Fourth Arts Center, RST was born of a need to celebrate and preserve African American culture in New Mexico. Rainbowstudiotheater.com
