An online vote of the public has chosen Albuquerque Theatre Guild as the Creative Bravos People's Choice Award recipient. Now in its 27th year, the Creative Bravos Awards will be presented March 24, 2012 by Creative Albuquerque to recognize innovation, impact and entrepreneurship in the creative economy fields.

"Thank you, everyone, so much for your support – and for voting for us. We're thrilled to be recognized for our efforts to encourage the growth of theatre audiences, foster cooperation and collaboration among member theatres, and facilitate and assist the work of individual members involved in all aspects of theatrical production," says ATG President Ray Orley.

"For the ATG, this award validates the work that so many people have put into the dream of bringing the live theatre community of Albuquerque together to work toward The Common good. It energizes the Guild to do even more to find new and creative ways to reach out to new audiences and tell the world about the amazing theatrical scene in Albuquerque.

"One of those new efforts is our intention to participate in a national program Free Night of Theatre later on this year. We invite everyone who loves theatre as much as we do, whether they voted for us or not, to join us at the celebration," Orley continues.

Tickets to the Creative Bravos event on March 24, 2012 at the Albuquerque Museum of Art & History are $75 for Creative Albuquerque members, $125 for two member tickets purchased at the same time. The non-member rate is $95 per ticket. Book online at www.creativeabq.org.
