“Sometimes I think I could be f*cked into enlightenment.”
Molly MacAskill’s debut play “coming to conclusions” is a queer coming-of-age comedy about sex, relationships and how we figure out who we are.
A bisexual uni student is dead set on finding herself through f*cking other people and living up to her expectations of modern queerness; casual sex, dating apps and defying hetronormative relationship structures. But one surprising hookup might bring her modern love montage to an end…
“I don’t really do that anymore….Labels. Exclusivity. Boyfriends-”
We are invited into her bedroom, and are with her through all sorts of sex, silliness and spliff fuelled philosophical discussions. As people come in and out of her life (and her bed), will they help her come to conclusions about her future?
Funny, freaky and unapologetically queer, coming to conclusions questions the pressure to have it all figured out: who we’re attracted to, what our relationships should look like, and ultimately, who we want to be.
After a successful run during The Hope Theatre's 'Write Club' festival, 'coming to conclusions' is returning to the venue for an extended run.
