Broadway on the 30th August.

Has this show been a belly flop for Disney?

Haha I posted at just the same time! Great minds think alike. This production was such a wasted opportunity.

I am not surprised one bit! I've been predicting this since Tony night!

Thought this might go, run longer than I expected especially since it was lampooned by the New York Time, on the other side of the coin The Lion king is still tunning very healthy and it is going to run for years to come both in London and New York, its going so strong there is no sign it will go to TKTS?

Might see Mermaid tonight!

Not worthy of Broadway by any means!
Good riddens.
A wasted opportunity is such a big understatement.

But Tom's statment clearly stated that there are productions in the works internatially ! i liked it just not sure i would waste my money on it again unless i had a better seat or a better cast !
No Doubt Our Paths Will Cross Again ! Matt

You did say you would have rather seen "Hair" when you went to see this! I have NOT seen this, but honestly do not feel like I'm missing out!

Can't say I'm sad, Mermaid was one of my favorite Disney films as a kid but I have no desire to see it in the flesh-actually that goes for nearly all the Disney film-to-stage productions!

So what's next for Disney to bring to life?
Maybe I'm on nobody's side http://phdconfessions.blogspot.com/

'Mermaid' was always my fav movie of Disney new wave.
Such a shame it didn't transfer to the stage in the beautiful way 'Beauty' did.
